A peaceful time
Another year passed.
Although Verity knew that she had wonderful children, she would never stop mourning the ones lost before.
But not everything was dark and sad all the time. Her three little monkeys, as she liked to call the boys, were always up and about in the property.
It made her happy to see them playing and enjoying themselves. At least they still had joy and love to share.
Virgil was a happy, but quiet boy. He spent long hours just writing on a notepad, or daydreaming in the room he shared with his younger brothers. He liked to think that his Daddy was looking out for him, from wherever he was.
Vanessa had grown so much in the past year!
She was tall and slender, and Verity believed it would not be long before a young man came searching for her.
At least, she was still a little girl in most ways, like when she wholeheartedly chomped on Verity's one and only franks and beans casserole.
