Decades Challenge TS4

Blooming

Harrison McPherson was born in late February in 1926. His older brother Harold was always close to him. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family.

In fact, Virgil made it a point to spend as much time with his wife and children as he could. He still remembered how soon he had lost his own father, and cherished every joyful minute he had. As soon as Harrison grew a little more, he was happy to join his parents and siblings while listening to the wireless.

Elizabeth liked to listen to the classical music on the wireless, and the children seemed to think that it was good to "dance" to it.

Virgil soon had another family portrait added to what he called, the "family wall".

And  he had a professional photographer take a more informal photograph of them during the summer.

Months passed and very soon they would have another "big girl" in the family.

For a few months, Elizabeth asked Virgil to make a second bathroom in the first floor. He decided that since Hyacinth would need her own room, they would make a few changes in the layout of the house.

They added the second bathroom upstairs, just like Elizabeth wanted.

Hyacinth had a new room, which she would use very soon.

Apart from those new additions upstairs, Virgil moved the downstairs bathroom to the back of the house, and made another large room next to it. He thought that, eventually, it could be a library. He had a small office made for himself in the old bathroom's place.

Just a little after Hyacinth's birthday:
Elizabeth: "Virgil, dear. I have something to tell you. I hope you will be pleased."

Virgil was indeed pleased. He had always wanted a large family like his had been. His only concern was to keep providing for them all and to be able to see them grow happy and well.
